GEPE Card Safe Extreme Review by Simon Watkinson ABIPP
My first impression of the card safe was just how solid it felt in my hands. It is a bit like closing a door on a BMW - it just felt good. The one I have is bright yellow and stands out like a mole on Cindy Crawford’s face, and just like the good girl herself, it’s of fine construction.

The card safe extreme is designed to protect the most valuable kit in your bag - your cards containing data. Its tough crush proof casing is constructed to take some pretty rough treatment and any abuse that an airline baggage handler can throw at it. The clasp, with its stainless steel hinge pin holds the two halves of the case together very firmly by squeezing a tight seal between the rubberised inner, preventing ingress of dirt, dust and moisture. The cards are held firmly into place by the moulded inner, and unless you have fingers like German sausages you should have no problems in inserting or removing them. Although the inner material is firm, it’s designed to reduce shock - something that I find very important when traveling. The clever integral moulding allows it to take a multitude of different types of cards without having to make any user adjustments. The card Safe Extreme will happily swallow CF, SD, MMC, Memory Stick and Smart Media allowing up to 4 cards of the same type or 4 smaller cards along with your 4 CF cards. So the Card Safe Extreme is extremely useful, extremely tough and mine is extremely bright; some might say it’s everything I’m not!
